Job Summary

The Youth Pastor at Impact Church leads our ImpactYth ministry with passion, purpose, and a clear heart to reach and disciple the next generation. This person is a relational pastor, a dynamic communicator, and a strategic leader who can inspire students (grades 6–12) to follow Jesus fully. The Youth Pastor builds teams, invests in students and families, and creates environments where young people experience life-giving community, biblical truth, and a sense of mission. At Impact, we don’t do youth ministry just to entertain students, we exist to help them know God, find freedom, discover purpose, and make a difference.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the Vision of ImpactYth
  • Champion the mission and vision of ImpactYth as an extension of the broader mission of Impact Church.
  • Create weekly youth gatherings that are fun, welcoming, and grounded in the truth of God’s Word.
  • Ensure every student who walks through the doors is seen, known, and invited into a relationship with Jesus and community with others.

Preach, Teach & Disciple Students
  • Regularly teach in both large and small group settings, delivering biblically sound, relevant messages that engage both middle and high school students.
  • Build and lead a discipleship pathway that helps students grow in their faith and apply it in real life.
  • Empower students to develop spiritual disciplines and take ownership of their walk with Jesus.

Develop and Lead Adult & Student Teams
  • Recruit, equip, and care for a team of adult leaders who help pastor and disciple students.
  • Identify and raise up student leaders, giving them real opportunities to lead, serve, and grow.
  • Create a leadership culture where volunteers feel valued, empowered, and part of something bigger than themselves.

Connect with Students & Families
  • Intentionally build relationships with students inside and outside of weekly programming (attending games, shows, and other key life events).
  • Equip and encourage parents as the primary spiritual influencers in their student’s life.
  • Communicate regularly and clearly with parents about youth events, spiritual milestones, and next steps.

Plan Events & Experiences
  • Lead impactful events such as camps, retreats, mission trips, and special outreach nights that draw students deeper into community and faith.
  • Ensure all ImpactYth events reflect our church’s values of excellence, fun, and transformation.
  • Handle planning, budgeting, logistics, and follow-up for all major student events.

Pastoral Care & Administration
  • Provide pastoral care to students and their families during crises, life transitions, or major spiritual decisions.
  • Maintain all planning tools, communication systems, attendance tracking, and volunteer schedules using Planning Center and Church Center.
  • Steward the ImpactYth budget with integrity and alignment to ministry goals.

Qualifications
  • A vibrant and growing relationship with Jesus Christ, marked by humility, integrity, and passion for the next generation.
  • Proven leadership in student ministry with the ability to preach and teach in an engaging and relevant way.
  • Relational strength and high emotional intelligence with students, parents, and volunteers.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills, with a passion for developing teams.
  • Experience using tools like Planning Center, Church Center, and social media platforms to communicate and coordinate ministry.
  • Willingness to serve as part of a high-capacity team in a fast-growing, high-expectation environment.
  • Agreement with the beliefs, mission, core values, and leadership of Impact Church.
  • Bachelor’s degree in ministry, theology, education, or related field preferred.
