OUR VALUES

Our core values are to our church what soil is to a plant. They shape and nourish the culture of our church so ministry can thrive and people can grow into all God has created them to be.

  1. Love God—We pursue God with passion
  • We recognize that the greatest thing we have to offer those who attend Impact Church each week is our own passionate pursuit of Christ! It is out of the overflow of a genuine and authentic relationship with Christ that we serve His Church.
  • “You shall love the Lord God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment.” Matthew 22:37-38

2. Honor People—We value every “one”
  • We believe every person is created in the image of God with inherent value and worth. To honor means to ascribe value, worth or weight to each person we interact with. People matter to Christ, so they matter to us!
  • “Be devoted to one another with mutual love, showing eagerness in honoring one another.” Romans 12:10

3. Pursue Excellence—We do our best
  • Impact Church exists for the glory of God and the blessing of others. When we do things with excellence it increases the comfort level of those who attend, lowering their defenses and helping them receive all that God has for them.
  • “Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” I Corinthians 10:31

4. Have Fun—We take fun seriously
  • Those whose lives have been changed by the “Good News” of Christ should be marked by a contagious sense of joy! Therefore, God’s people should be fun to be around and laugh often. This creates an environment that is inspiring.
  • “But may the righteous be glad and rejoice before God; may they be happy and joyful.” Psalm 68:3

5. Go First—We lead by example
  • Leadership is who you are more than what you do. Therefore, leaders must go first. Leaders can never ask or expect from others anything they are unwilling to do themselves. As a leader models a life of character and integrity, they gain the moral authority needed to develop other great leaders.
  • “Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ.” I Corinthians 11:1

6. Live Generously—We give because we get to
  • It was the generosity of God that made a way for us to become the children of God. As we grow in our faith, God’s character is produced in us. We are never more like Jesus than when we give. Our giving allows us to take the good news of Jesus to our community and the world.

  • “For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16
